Portfolios / [Portfolio] Vierbit
« on: April 16, 2013, 02:48:13 pm »

Hello there,

My name is Fabian J. and I am working as a pixel artist for a while now. Below you can find a small selection of artwork from various projects I worked on.
I can comfortable work with any perspective, be it sideview, topdown or isometric. I am flexible when it comes to subject matter, be it a fantasy, SciFi or something completely different. I am able to create background artwork as well as creating animations.

If you think I should work for you and are also willing to pay me for my work, contact me.
Either send a message or send a mail to "vierbit(at)web.de"

2D & 3D / Knight
« on: April 07, 2010, 12:11:08 pm »
Trying to get a bit more serious into 3D stuff.

Made some mistakes during unwrapping, so in some parts the texture distorts a bit too much.
Somehow forgot I donīt need a texture for every part(like the inside parts of the helmet or the shoulder armor) leading to empty spaces
in the uv map.

In the end I just wanted to get it finished, the animation could need some tweaking though.
All work done in blender and photoshop.

Pixel Art Feature Chest / GR#018 - R0x Zero - Artwork, Logo & Tiles
« on: February 23, 2010, 10:25:03 pm »
A little project I working on for some time. Probably better I post stuff before itīs finished, so there is still room for critique.
Platform is the Atari STE, which comes with some restrictions. Most important the machine is only capable of showing 16 colours at once,
without some programmer trickery at least.

Titlescreen(yeah, hard to figure out :P

Two versions of the logo. They use the same palette as the titlescreen.

Main menu, the background will later show a zooming starfield.

Tileset and the sprites, booth share the same palette. Needed a few tries before deciding on the palette, probably leaves some room
for improvement but worked fine so far.

Small test mock up.

Pixel Art / Iso tiles(wip)
« on: November 28, 2009, 01:10:40 am »
As I never done any iso stuff I experimented a bit with that perspective the last days.
I used 16x16 tiles as a base, although nearly all the cliffs are basically 32x16. For now it isnīt possible to build all kind of geometric forms, a few tile combinations are missing, especially the slopes are really tricky and need quit a lot of tiles.

I plan to add a few details, as currently it looks a bit boring and empty.

fancy wire frame :D

2D & 3D / A car (yeah, how original!)
« on: December 11, 2008, 09:43:26 pm »
Getting a bit again into 3d stuff recently.

Made in blender, 312 triangles. A bit of an hassle to avoiding these damn distorted textures.

Not really an optimized texturlayout, maybe editing that later

Its been a while since i last posted something here.
Well fun little side project, basically in the line of the gameboy demakes challenge here a while ago.
Plattform this time the c64 with its nice 16 color palette and some quirky restrictions,
thanks goes to ptoing for helping me out on the colors.

« on: December 12, 2007, 05:48:00 pm »

Yeah nothing fancy,

-dont like the foreground tiling

Pixel Art / Cellphone game
« on: December 28, 2006, 12:55:32 am »
After months of no posts here on pixelation Im back in bussines.
The game is based more or less of mockup I posted here long ago.
Programmer is a nice guy from sdw developments.

Its a horizontal shoot m up with. All tiles are 16x16 without color restrictions.

Basically your spacethemed level that you find in any(mostly) game of that sort.

Jungle planet with some ruins of some kind.

Homeworld of the aliens you fight against.

And all the stuff you need besides the backgrounds.

Oh yeah and the titlescreen (we dont have a name for this game yet).
