My name is Curtis. I've been developing games as a hobby for over 10 years, and have finally decided to take the plunge into professional development. Our studio's working title is "PoA Games" and our game project's codename is "Project Will". Actual details about the game are under wraps in anticipation of a big announcement.

This is a paid position, and examples of previous work is required. We are completely open to negotiation about wage, so throw us an offer. We are also willing to pay per-asset as we know that some talented pixel artists can breeze through 8-bit tilesets quite quickly.

The job position is as an environmental artist who will create "8-bit inspired" tilesets for a side-scrolling platform game. By "8-bit inspired" I mean to say that our game is strongly inspired by NES games, and our art is loosly tied to the limitations of the system, however we are open to extended color-palettes and some pseudo-NES elements so long as they do not break the illusion. The job initially is going to be getting the game ready for a KickStarter campaign. You will be paid for what you make up until that point, and you will be offered to continue your work if the KickStarter goes through. We need Tilesets for approximately 5 different area types each including a few various slopes and decor. The number of hours involved in creating this is going to be very much up to the speed of the artist, but everything needs to be finished and ready within about 2 and a half months (late June). We currently have a character artist onboard who has created a multitude of people and creatures to populate your 8-bit world.

You can contact me (Curtis) at curtis.b.schneider11@gmail.com with your application. I just need to see some prior work and get to know a little bit about you. If this job interests you, shoot me an email.
