I grew up working on Byond. The engine was restricted to 32x32 so I specialize in Micro art. That also means if i do something large it will be pretty detailed. Style changing also comes easy. Though I enjoy cheerful art over dark art. As you notice I tend to get involved with anime.

General Discussion / Pixel art with TouchScreen's
« on: February 23, 2010, 11:56:17 pm »
I'm typically a technology guy who's ready to try anything that seems like it would help finish pixel work at faster pace. Heh, that even includes using two mice if I could find a way. I've tried tablets, they were a little slow and clunky for "pixel art".

Now I am wondering. Has anyone here ever tried doing any pixel art(with their fingers) on any of those new Touchscreen laptops that have been coming out?

- I'm curious to know how fluid things were.

- How accurate were things. (I wouldn't mind taping a pin to my finger or just using nails but there are limits.)

Pixel Art / Trees
« on: January 08, 2009, 09:16:06 am »

This is my history with trees, it seems every time I finish I believe I'm satisfied only to frown upon the work 2 weeks later. Input on that latest tree (09, with all the arrows pointed to it) would be pretty cool. I started out with a blue print (inspired by a post of Helms) but ended up with something totally different seeing as how I was trying to make a tree with a 3/4ths perspective and had struggled for some odd reason.

Things I was trying to achieve include:

• Simplicity
• Removal of noise
• 3/4s perspective.

I've been keeping a look out for any refining techniques that could help with any of these.

General Discussion / You've all heard of Rippers, what about "Inkers"?
« on: September 12, 2008, 04:15:18 am »
Personally would you be annoyed if someone stole the colors of your base? Is using someone else's platte worth getting angry about? Would it be an overreaction? Or are colors, simply "colors"...

I've come here because I'd like to hear the opinions of people who take their art seriously.

Pixel Art / [WIP] 1st Aura Animation
« on: July 27, 2007, 03:53:36 am »
The substance I'm working with is referred to as "reiatsu" in an anime called Bleach. This aura has been driving me crazy for the last week, I wanted to make this animation as close to the image as possible.
Ichigo Vs Byakuya 00:35

The Icon:
Mainly Phase 2 (when it explodes and turns blue), is whats pissing me off.

Earlier version:

I dont really know how I should color it either.
