I was bored of trying isometric stuff for Pixelator so I started this for fun. So, following Skurwy and Lackey, here's Virginia.

Pixel Art / Fighting to the sound of music

I noticed KOS wasn't filled yet, so I thought I could actually finish a fighter sprite (something i could not acomplish in my previous tries). Portrait coming very soon, I hope. C&C welcome, as usual
EDIT: 11 colours if anyone's wondering and that's as high as I would like the colour count to stay

Just showing some pixels I did this weekend...
This is self-portrait, made mainly to practise colour chosing. It felt very good to be making another piece in this style, with tons of dithering you know...
This a WIP I'm working on now. I think I'll use some redish flesh tones, against a dark bg, for the hand. I will also dither it, to merge the colours better. The other part of the pic, which I haven't started yet, should come in two or three days.
And that's it. As always, I'm open to every kind of C&C and if you have any suggestion that would help to improve these please say!

320x179, 4 coloursThis is the picture I plan to submit to the 'Dreaming In Pixels' contest being held at DA. The 'written' part of it will come later, when I have some C&C on the picture
Since I want this to be really good, please say everything you think about it, the good things, the bad things, the really bad things, what could be done to improve it, etc...
EDIT: Here's the progress animation, with all the steps I took to reach that...

Oh well, this is, like Skipper's topic "Beauty", kind of personal. This is a gift for a very special friend of mine (I do not, in this moment, wish more than friendship with her), Katarina, whose birthday is on the 22nd (or 23rd, I'm not sure) of December. I've been dedicating most of my time and effort to it, in this past week, because I want it to be as perfect as my technique and knowledge allow me to.
Now, let me explain some points of the picture. It's a portrait of her made from this referenc pic.
The reason for the yellowish tones is the fact that she is a wonderfully happy person, and I wanted to pass that feeling by giving her a sunny, bright look. I hope I was able to show that...
My major problem now is the hair. I was hoping someone could help me with this, because I realy don't know how to do it...

I've only had time to shade the body, although I'm not sure about how I shaded around eye and the mouth...I'm really thinkin to dither the whole shade.
Plz dont comment about that green thing on top of its head (theyre supposed to be leaves) cuz I'm still tryin to figure out how I'll be doing that o_O
EDIT: Big changes hun...I think the ditherinh worked alright, as well as the aaing. The biggest changes were (obviously) the eyes and the mouth. Also, I added lots of shadows.
EDIT 2: Animated the progress and added that floating thing next to him...no big changes...
EDIT 3: Feels like somethins missin without that green thing on top of him...I hated it anyway...well, its finished to me. I know it sucks but I have other things to do...

EDIT:changed the black outline on the shirt to a dark grey and llightened the highlight on the hair.
