Pixel Art / Work In Progress Characters [C&C]

Update


I've been doodling these characters on paper for a long time, and now decided to pixel them. "Afro Kid" is finished while "Anime Spike hair kid with a sword" is still WIP. I've also been struggling with color choices from the past and I would really like some critique on this.

And holy crap, did servers crash on Pixelation or something?

Trying to improve on pixel art some more, also this topic is in response to my other topic I made a few weeks ago.

I'm just trying to practice on using black on more colored pixel art. Also, I can't seem to save transparency with Graphics Gale?

Hi Pixelation community,
A few years ago, I was introduced to pixel art. After a few quits and starting back overs, I'm now trying to get myself back into being a pixel artist. Though, I'm sort of a noob at pixel art ,so I thought making NES styled sprites would be easier for me. Plus, I'm a fan of the NES. I'm not sure if it's 4 or 5 colors, since I'm using white also. ;D   

Yeah, realized a few mistakes on the sprite(shirt was pretty obvious to me).
Anyway, I hope to have a nice experience here!
