Wait, urk. The OP doesn't have banding, only the edit. :(

Are you referring to the banding on the baby or on the sky?
(I agree it is pretty bad on the baby =P)

Hm, here are some color tweaks (palette is fixed now because these are the colors of the paper that I have bought =P)

I will have to start making it soon -- do you see anything that desperately needs changing? Or have you any incidental thoughts?

Thanks ;)

The big-hand swipe, I feel, still needs to have more impact (either being overall faster, or doing a slooowfast thing). This is quite wonderful ^_^

Pixel Art / Fetus Christmas Card

Merry Christmas everybody! So here is my story...

I bought one of them folding photo album things that you can put two pictures in (in this case, two 5x7 inch pictures) -- and I also went to the craft store and bought some various colors of nice paper. I will cut the paper into quarter-inch pixels and glue them onto a black background to make a beeyootiful picture.

Now the beeyootiful picture is as follows, but the colors are not right yet (I need to scan all the paper I bought so I can see what actual palette I am working with =P). This is just blocking things out, not that there is room to do much more (I am already going to be gluing for a long time!).

(also it does not need to be perfectly readable at 1x, because remember, the pixels will be quarter inches)

The most pressing question for now then, is how to make the Fetus Jesus look okay. I am not sure He looks close to accurate at this point.
(of course any other suggestions are welcome as well, but we'll see how it looks when I get the right colors and do a bit more work :))

Thanks! =)

That makes good sense, Tremulant  :)  I will honor the desire for distinction, and actually make some smileys of my own instead of leeching ;)

Mm, pixelopolis is allowed to do with the piece as they please, but that agreement doesn't say anything about taking away the rights of the artist  :)

Wouldn't it be up to the people who made the smileys? =)

Wow, these look really nice.

Is there any chance that I could use these on another forum? They're really slick.
