You hair rendering is already off to a good start, face is looking pretty toon-ish though.

Pixel Art Feature Chest / Re: Nordwand - Gameplay mockup

Generally speaking the game will be very simple in its core, with the basic theme of finding your "inner rhythem". Layered on top of that will be randomized level generation and (hopfully) a pixel art 2D physics ragdoll (and yes, the rope will also be dynamic).
Lets see, maybe it never gets beyond this mockup  :)

Sounds like the kind of game I'd love to play. Have you ever heard of GIRP? It's a really silly game but the cool rock climbing mechanic makes it addicting.

I really like the trees aside for the fact they they're really bright for such a dim moon.

I'm not a fan of the lack of contrast and washed out tones but I will say they are very smooth and well made.  :y: The dirt reminds me of of Eld's Minecraft texture pack.

Thanks for all the help guys. Aside for some small edits I'm going to call this finished, I can't cram anymore information into it without raising the color count or cluttering it.
Changed the texture on the closest mountain, removed dithering from farthest mountain, small changes and polished up around the town.

28 colors.

I'm still trying to figure out how I can add more foliage types without making it seem too cluttered. As for the scenario, they are humans of an alternate Earth which remains vastly unexplored and undeveloped, primarily harsh mountainous terrain, limited to frontier technology.
