Pixel Art / Re: Need help with leg anatomy

It's supposed to be somewhat of a buzzcut, or a slightly noticeable male baldness pattern but the thought of cramping in too much detail seems daunting to me, if not unnecessary, so I think I'll pass. If you have any last tips on you, feel free to drop by. Otherwise, thank you both for the help.

Thanks for the reply, Chonkypixel. I see what you're thinking but I'm trying not to fit in a lot of detail into it. I'm actually rather impressed at the amount of detail I managed to add in such a small canvas limit yet I added detail to the upper arm, sleeve, the knee and now it seems to me, the face is too simple. Any suggestions?

Hmm, you have a point there, Mathcong. But I intended to make him have a relaxed, both hands on hips/hands in pockets kind of pose, as in the idle state. So, I think it is reasonable for him to lean back. I know I might have been exaggerating that, so I tried to minimize it nevertheless.

Yeah, the shape is OK, but I'm not convinced by the lighting on the arm or legs.

Where is your light source?

The light source is in the top right corner. I don't see what's wrong?

On second thought, it looks fine to me so I started shading nevertheless. Feedback on anatomy is still appreciated.

Updates:
-Improved the shape of the butt and thigh
-Added minimal shading to highlight the knee and belt buckle
-Gave him an appropriate, formal shoe to match with this particular outfit

So I've been working on this character for ages now and what displeases me the most is how the legs do not match the torso, especially the slightly chubby/fat body type. I'm looking for tips on how to improve and keep the proportion of the legs in pace with the torso so that I could start shading it. Suggestions are highly welcome here.

I'm interested in working with you on your game. I think I'm qualified enough for the job so here's my portfolio: https://www.deviantart.com/jackx5/gallery/65640648/Pixel-Art
As you might have noticed, I'll be working on backgrounds and miscellaneous game objects.

Pixel Art / [WIP] Office character
« on: March 28, 2019, 11:13:19 am »
Hey so I've made this office-themed character which didn't really look the way it was supposed to be. She was supposed to wear a pant suit along with a skirt maybe. How can I depict this in a better way? Any feedback?

Thanks for the feedback! I have taken (most of) your suggestions into account.

I would like to know if the shading or the interpretation of the response to the light source of this character's clothes is correct. Any feedback or constructive criticism is appreciated.
