Thank you both for your suggestions. Reduced head/torso movement, changed arm movement, added some cloth physics, and made some other adjustments.

I made using 2x preview, and always thought it looked better 2x. But that just might be the fact that I was working at 2x the entire process. It might be a phenomenon related to what happens when you mirror a sprite you've been working on for a while. You just kind of get used to how it looks.

So I'm back with another bg for the game I'm working on.

It's very rough at the moment! Still trying to figure out the the perspective on the right side. Any advice on how I should tile this would be helpful. I know it's been a hot topic on these forums recently.

Another tip: try not to use pure black for shading, it makes it look muddy.
