It's really awesome. I really admire your anti-aliasing.

The hands look a bit weird, in that it looks like he's resting them on his belly, but with the angle/perspective/whatever they're drawn in it doesn't look right. I don't actually know if he's resting his hands on his belly, or just holding them their, but it should be clearer.

-2 Hello FishyBoy,
I think right off the bat you're just burning through colors. You can probably limit the colors to 6 or 4 with no problems.
HOHOHO

So, I tried to cut a few colors out. I'm down to 6, plus transparency.

I adjusted the shading on his leg, looking at your example, and changed the leg around. I think it looks a little more dynamic now, and changed the black to a dark blue-ish, for the hell of it.

Howdy, Pixelation!

So, yeah, crits appreciated. It's 8 colors, not counting transparency.

And yes, I know that black outlines are a sin, but then again, he is a demon.  ;)

This looks seriously excellent. The designs for the robots and such are really cool. I can't wait to see more.

A little edit :) personally think he's leaning back too much, may be a characteristic posture but in my opinion it looks a bit too uncomfortable.

Not really changed the palette cus it works pretty well, I just think the shaded white area is maybe too dark. I'd personally use the darker yellow there, but I did give that colour a warmer tone.

All in all just tried to smoothen everything, not to fond of a full black outline so added some variation to that too.

Hope that helps, it's a cute character btw.
Thanks!

I did add a bit of shading/smoothing from your edit, but I'm not sure how practical all the smoothing on it would be for animation.

I don't think you really need to bother with sel-out.
:'(

Wow, never seen that place before!
Going to bookmark that, thanks!
No problem. It is a wonderful place where wonderful things happen.

Also, I too can't wait for the underside :)
:D

Glad I'm not the only one.

The two arms seem rather asymmetrical, unless that's what you're going for. Also, the eyes look rather flat, like they're just lumps of skin.

He's got a very distinctive look, though, and that belly button is pretty adorable.

Yeah, however I think it looks way better now.
Thank you!

Anyhoo it seems you know Mr Tuna? From what site? (time to get in the good books now  :hehe: )
From a project he's working on. Had school not hit me as hard as it did, I would have been programmer for it.

Nice stylish character =) but it could do with a bit of work
Thanks!

its ok for a start(far better than what I did when I started  :P )
I'm not that new, but thanks. I just spared you the older stuff.

Now to to some critique:
Your character has some jaggie issues and AA issues. (here's a tutorial that covers that very simply http://www.derekyu.com/?page_id=218 )
Would the jaggies be in the arm, or with the stripes on his torso?

As a general rule, tool-made circles are more likely to be screwed up than handmade ones
-Willows made a good point about the circle tool. It might seem quicker and easier, but in the end it's really not all that helpful. You'll find that most of the time doing it by hand will get you a better result.
This was a hand drawn circle, but I guess it wasn't particularly well done.

Okay, so going by the critique, here's what I've got. I cut it down to eight colors, and tried to get rid of the jaggies. Lots of thanks to skamocore, your edit helped a lot.

Hey fishyboy, I'd say some hue shifting and contrast would help this a lot.
Hey Tuna! How's it going?

yeah Tuna Unleashed....cause he knows what that means  :P
Come now, I'm not that bad.  :)

So, here's some guy. We'll call him Alfred.

The main thing I was working on here was the selective outlining, which I'm pretty bad at right now.

Any critique would be greatly appreciated.

Howdy!

So, I do some indie game development stuff, which basically necessitates pixel art unless you have a little team going on, or have too much free time. Having neither of those, pixel art it is. I also just really like the style in general.

Anyways, came here to get a little better, and also to see everyone else's vastly superior stuff.
