A few updates:
I've been working on Buzz Kill Zero, which will be released in November. Check out the trailer for a peek at my pixel art (backgrounds and boss sprites)!

I made the graphics for an entry for the Alakajam game jam, and it won first prize! Here is the entry's page:

I'm working on a MSX game, which I'll tell you more about in December.

I still have some art under NDA unfortunately, so I can't show you some pixel art I particularly like.

Ambitious project!
Though I have to draw your attention to the cliffs. They act more as a texture and less as a volume - you need stronger highlights  and a stronger sense of depth. The pattern itself is fine, it just needs to pop out more.


The light's going to hit the edge of the cliff first, then spread from the direction it's cast from (in the edit it's centre-left).

Love the more dynamic pose! It looks a lot better :y:
I would suggest a highlight colour for each material, and I'd say your piece will be more or less finished. You can also add small details like scuffs, tears or wear to make the clothes more detailed. I would make the mouth and the nose's outline a bit darker, and you're good.

If you're hesitating on the pose, ask yourself what expression you want your character to convey, and don't be afraid of trying several poses. There's a lot of trial and error in any case ;)

I remember seeing this!

Some of your use of colour is a bit funky, the highlighting especially: it doesn't grade tonally that well (jump from purple to blue, blue is darker than the purple but should be lighter); the dark blue shade followed by the dark yellow make it difficult to read the body suit.

Here's my edit:

I kept the dark blue on the body suit, but I made the dark yellow dark cyan, to make it a secondary light source. Hope it helps or give you ideas on how to use this tricky palette!

Same criticism for your Bloodborne piece applies here :)

Chiseling away at the main mass of the silhouette like before, adding a few clues; then, blocking out the shapes in the silhouette with colour, like the cloak, the trousers, scarf, etc; I resized the sprite to get the proportions closer to this artwork of Sekiro.
