Im in love with this concept. You are a very awesome person for doing this. One thing that bugs me is the aa around ronald's scar (?) it looks awkward to me on the face, but thats just a small nit pick. Something about the shading on his lips as well looks odd to me. Maybe its the darkest shade?

Otherwise it looks great.

Well, you've certainly improved in the time you posted the last thing and this. It looks really nice. You have a little bit of banding with the grey around the black markings (diagonal lines?) closest to the red.

There is nothing much I can really say other than its good.

The probably look rushed because you didn't spend enough time coloring these.

Pixel Art / My Ostrich Dinosaur Dragonfly bush...thing?
« on: November 25, 2008, 01:43:55 am »

I'm working on another random sketch thingy. I started on it yesterday and head my progress. The bush was originally going to be feathers, but I messed up on those. Id like to have some C+C on how to get it more bush like, or more feather like.
Ive twisted everything a bit for personal preference, but please point out if it does not resemble an ostrich or a dragonfly (head) enough.

Any other C+C would be greatly appreciated.

During the repeated punching frames the feet are pretty twitchy. The groins shading looks like it twitches as well. The outline also changes around the shoulders, the legs and the arms a lot during the animation. On the last frame the shading seems pretty messy around the hand, back of the leg (farthest away). I don't think the feet should move that much while throwing a punch, but that may just be me. The legs also seem a bit jagged.

Overall its very nice.

On a few of the roots the light source is coming from the center.

Stop getting so upset with people giving you critique. It's meant to help you and help you improve, they don't do it to make you upset you, and it certainly sounds like you think that. You have ignored every piece of advice given to you in this thread. If you do not wish to take the advice of those who go out of their way to try and help you, just don't bother posting it.

Now, you still need to fix the head (its too wide), the brown needs to look more like a greenish white (I can't exactly describe the color), but you don't really need to change that. The "roots" should, imo, be positioned more like in your reference, yours just go straight down, they don't overlap, the just kinda look like spikes. Also, where did the red stripe come from? I haven't played the game so I don't know if there is a variation with it having a red stripe.

If you want something closer to your reference, the arms should be positioned more like its walking forward. The one you have shaded so far just needs a little curve to look like its more behind the body, the newest one needs to have the main forearm (trunk?) bending forward a bit more.

I know you've already gotten so far into this, many people usually have to remake their work multiple times to get it right. Its not terrible, its good, it just needs fixing is all. I'm not attacking you, I'm posting this to try and help you.
