Hello, a quick update from me. Thank you to everyone who's gotten in touch so far! I'll be looking over all of the portfolios over the next couple of days, and will get back to you all as soon as possible.

Thanks!

John

Hello, my name is John, and I'm the Director and sole Game Designer / Programmer / Terrible Developer Art Creator at UK-based indie studio N-Body Solutions LTD.

I am currently several months into development of my first title, which is a space station building/management game based on real NASA/Roscosmos/ESA/JAXA etc. technologies. The project is at a point now where I'm ready to begin posting public updates about its development, and I'd like to start getting the art style nailed down before I do. The game is based in reality, and so is designed with a realistic style in mind. For comparison with existing projects, think something like a mix between Gunpoint by Suspicious Developments:

And Starbound by Chucklefish:

The game already has many art assets made by me, but they aren't up to the standard I'd like them to be. I'm therefore looking for somebody to join the project as a contractor, initially to redo the existing assets, and then to create new assets as the development process continues. I'll share some of these assets with you when you first get in touch so you can get a better idea of what I'm looking for.

The ideal candidate would have an active interest in space exploration technologies ranging from the Apollo era to today, and an eye for details in spacecraft and related equipment that would bring a smile to fans of NASA and other space agencies. No previous experience with video games is required, but is preferred. If your portfolio already includes NASA-style spacecraft then that's a bonus.

The project is currently self funded, with a view to seek crowdfunding later this year. I'm offering $20/hour, with room for that to increase for the right candidate after a successful crowdfunding campaign.

Artists in the UK or a similar timezone are preferred, but that's not a hard requirement. If you're interested, please respond by private message so we can exchange contact details.

Cheers,

John
