I really like her, lovely style, nice animation!

Did you create this just for fun or for a game project? If that's the case, I'd love to see the game as well.

Hi,

In 1994 the Clockwiser puzzle game was released internationally for the Commodore Amiga computers, the CD32 console, MS-DOS and MS-Windows 3.1.

Clockwiser was a production of the Dutch developers Reinier van Vliet (programmer), me (graphics), Peter Schaap (programmer) and Ramon Braumuller (audio).

Peter Schaap and I have now re-released Clockwiser online as a free retro game, with the addition of new graphics and new functionality. You're invited for a visit to Playclockwiser.com for an impression. The in-game elements were pixeled back in 1993 [I'm getting old!].

Sevensheaven: I was totally right there with Helm thinking those were real and wanting to buy one. It would be totally badass if they were real, the picture totally fooled me.

Thank you too, great to read that the image is convincing. If you really want to buy something that has materialized from my 3D work, I'm happy to invite you to the Sheep Shop.

For the metallic figures I used the Maxwell renderer, which is as close as you can get to taking a photograph of your 3D scene so far.

Is it freeware? What version do you use?
Maxwell is a stand-alone high-end renderer you can connect to your favourite 3D package and I believe it costs about $900 these days.

I use Maxwell professionally, so I paid the price, but if you just like to play around with rendering I believe there is a freeware renderer that comes fairly close to the light simulation techniques that are used in Maxwell. Just enter "non-biased renderer" in Google.

Visit Maxwellrender.com for more info and a jaw-dropping image gallery.

Hi,

Maybe you'll find this an interesting story regarding this subject matter. It happened many years ago, but I guess a lot of it is still happening these days.

Hi,

Great to have found this pixel-dedicated forum. My name is Metin, I am a former pixel artist for commercial Amiga games, such as Hoi and Clockwiser. I was happily married to the legendary Deluxe Paint (DPaint) in those good ol' days.

I'm also a first-hour beta-tester of the great Pro Motion pixel editor (as you can see in the 'About' if you own it).

I've been into 3D graphics for the past 10 years, but I really started to miss the good old pixel pushing. So with a lot of motivation I'm going to return to my roots.

Here's an impression of my pixel stuff (by the time I write this the image gallery mainly exists of my old game graphics from the early 1990s).

Cheers,

Metin
