Unpaid Work / [OPEN] Spriters needed for Jojo Fangame
« on: November 10, 2018, 10:17:58 pm »
Hello, my name is River. I started making a Jojo's Bizarre Adventure game prototype and I need some more spriting help. The style will be decided once that person joins. To make up for the lack of payment, you'll also get creative freedom. I might have to adjust the ideas to make them fit in the game though. If you're interested, or just interested in watching the development, join my discord server.

Unpaid Work / Topdown 32x Sprites
« on: December 20, 2017, 06:19:56 am »
Hey there!
I'm new to this whole "request" thing, so forgive me if I sound silly or forget to mention something vitally important.

Recently, I've started work on a sort of remake of a game called minicraft, described here (playminicraft.com). I added stuff to the version there. In fact, I've been doing that for almost a year now. Yet I've decided that I want to start from scratch so I can start off on the right foot with project, and make it better. I'm calling it miniventure.

So far I think my remake has come along nicely, though the game really isn't much to see yet. If you do want to see the bare bones game so far, you can find the list of (measly) releases here: (www.github.com/chrisj42/miniventure/releases)
It's so small now partly because there's not too many features yet, and partly because I suck at all things art.

So, that brings me to why I'm here today. I'm in dire need of a person who can make pixel art for the game. Some people have come along and made some sprites here and there, but if this is gonna be a thing we're gonna need some dedication. Sprites are generally going to be 32x32, and range from creatures, to landscape, to tools; pretty much everything, though if you just want to do one thing, or want a different size, I'll take what I can get .

Unfortunately, because this is just a passion project, I cannot offer any payment for this; however, I will try my best to make it a good experience and to make it easier for you in what you do relating to this project. The more communication, the better. If you do decide to help, you'll probably have a huge impact in how the project evolves and turns out in the end, due to the nature of the game and the current stage of development.

So that's my spiel. Let me know if you're interested, or have any questions. Thanks a bunch  ;D !!

P.S. https://discord.gg/HQuEcYS Is our discord server. I am active on there almost every day. I'm one of the mods, Chris J.

Pixel Art / Re: GBC Beam Kirby

Sorry. I just always feel there's something wrong with my drawings, and I really want to make things flashy. Thanks for the advice though.

Pixel Art / GBC Beam Kirby

I have made thousands of spritesheets, but I wanted some critique on this sprite I made awhile back. I decided to draw the ability hub from Kirby's Adventure, in the style of the Gameboy Color. I am most upset with the background of it. It seems so bland, and boring. I've always been been bad at backgrounds.
