Like Dr D already mentioned your character's walking animation looks more like dancing.

Here's a small edit I quickly made, it should give you a some kind of direction.  :)

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

...

Nice, don't forget to check some reference for those wings.

Whats that sticking out of the shield? A tongue?
I will definetely use reference and it's supposed to be a tongue.  :)

Yes it seems to be a tongue.. it's strange. However it's very good.

Exept maybe the sword, it looks more as a mace than a one.
It is a mace.  ;)

I see a feather and a heavily studded club. :>

Some thinks to watch out for: the selout on the head doesn't look very good and neither does the dramatic foreshortening of the leg. You can fix both of these by making them less pronounced... A lighter tone for the blackish color on the hair and by shrinking the foot less. Everything else is really solid on this so it doesn't make much sense to make the foot in the background so dramatically smaller. You can use the plain guideline that objects get shorter in length but not in width for something like this.
I tried to correct those issues you mentioned and also edited her legs and the tongue(I hope it reads more as a tongue this time). :]

I would remove the outline on the right side of the lamp
Better? Also did some small fixes.

Thanks for the great freedback everyone!

Cute! I think it's readable as-is, but a brighter blue would probably help anyway. The only thing that bothers me is the way the hat's left eye moves around when he's walking.
Yeah the way it moved was pretty disturbing but should be better now.  ;D

Awe, this is quite cute.
I think maybe his gun arm should go behind the gun I dunno why it just seems odd in front.
Also if you could give him the same lift he has when his left leg goes in front.
Cause the right leg seems to be less dynamic.

Notice in one frame how none of his feet are on the ground, either fix that or add it to the same frame for the opposite leg if that makes sense. :]
Looking good though I'm not sure I like the selout on his helmet since he has it no where else.
The new gun animation is still wip, but i'm working on it. I don't know if the left leg has more dynamic move now( I did a small chance, not really that notable), I'm working on it too. I also tried to make the 2nd frame to similiar to 4th but the result was bit wonky, so I'm trying to figure what to do with it.
I used selout to make the helmet more roundish, without it the helmet looked too blocky imo. I added selout to cop's arms to balance it more.

Looks cool, this reminds me of old snes bomberman games haha. I have an objection though, and is with the animation... the part with the hat, that was previously mentioned, it doesn't coordinate well with the rest of the animation. In my opinion, the ball shouldn't bounce at all like that.
Now that you mention I can see the similarities too.  ;D Well I tried to make it less bouncy, but the idea was that the hat is blobbyish so it's supposed to bounce. :)

Its good to work on a literally, gray background, helps a lot. Fixed the light-source, tried to make it stand out more, this was really fun to edit I gotta say, you got a great style going for you.
That there is a one handsom edit.  :y: I tried to fix light-source more in mine and ripped the badge thing on his chest (hope you don't mind  :blind:, I'll remove it if it bothers you  :)). Also changed my palette a bit.

my only question, why on the helmet it jumps up and down, but the two 'dots' which im guessing are holes are something. why are they staying in the same place?
The eyes should be better now.  :)

Instead of studying I did some random pixeling.   ::)

Latest

I don't know if the sprite is clear enough but it's supposed to be a cop with gun and living hat that has siren attached on it's head.

I'm not a really good animator as you can see so all the advice to make animations smoother/better are welcome.  :y:

Also I'm not sure if the blue I'm using should be a bit brighter?

(I don't remember where to put commas in english, so if my sentences are messy sorry about that   :n:. It's been a while since I wrote something in english...)

Okay, I think I'm nearly done with this.

The gargoyle thing is inspired by Helms lovely revision of the SOTB statue as seen in this thread.
That flag doesn't really fit in the image imo, but otherwise really amazing work!  :)

I think the flat shading style is wonderful; if you want to add more volume to the hair you could add a few lines to define the direction and shape a little more.

those edits are great and gave me some ideas  :y: , I think I'll put different styles to choose from (with lines and/or without).  :)

Also grab update. ~

Some more progress.

I'vent got the hair lines look as I'm aiming to, so characters still have their original hairs.

I find it not necessary to start a new topic for this picture, so I posted it here. I've started to make some graphics for my new game that I've been working on for couple of days, but now I've got these problems with depth issues. problem 1# hairs: should I do something to 'em or just keep 'em simple colour as they're now? prob. 2# How to make stone tiles look less flat ~ prob. 3# How to give that monster character's shell more depth without making itmore complex, so it would fit the game's current simple graphic style? If anyone could help I'd appreciate it. :)

Oh and the 2x picture 'cos firefox makes pics blurry when zooming 'em...

edit: Forgot to mention that the monster is [WIP], it's gonna be twice as big as it's now ~

edit2: added 1x pic

edit3: edited stones a little bit ~

edit4: updated 2x picture
