Adarias you rock and this is lovely. I feel the stomach is overworked for the style, and I'm not keen on the shoes but its still beautiful, I especially like the blue in the hair. have you thought about maybe making her look < a bit? or maybe have the head pointing that way but the eyes looking at us, I just think that would feel a bit more natural.
The idea that adarias should be moved along to CG work just because he doesnt work to higher zoom levels is rediculous, not to mention fucking anal. I rate adarias a much better artist than most veterans here because he has a little thing called passion. I find it very dis-heartening that the soul-less robots here are so completely obsessed with  precision and technicality over aeshetic value and emotion.
I always found the term pixel art to be something of a contradiction in itself, I have to very much struggle to see it as 'art' which to me, as I've stated should have some fucking soul to it. It seems much more a craft, and browsing through peoples opinions of good "Non-Pixel Art" I must say I was very disapointed to see very few people here can see that. I really don't feel I fit in here, and although I've learnt a lot while here I can't see I'll be coming back as I really can't stand some of your attitudes.

There are of course some lovely users.
Sorry to rant in your thread Adarias.

what with the squarish nature of the tiling anyway, when I look at the well it really just pops out as a big square. I'd recommend shrinking the width of the pillars to break the shape of the tiles.
Also the grass would really benefit from left/right edge tiles, as well as corners. Having a proper grass/dirt transition at the front but nowhere else looks a bit odd.

Looking nice though, the water is a big improvement.

I wouldnt say you havnt got the house to a good level, I really like it. I guess by the very definition of fantasy, no-one can say whats right or wrong. Thinking about the general fantasy style though, it seems to usually be a mixture of real world eras, with a lot of Tolkien-isms thrown in.

I found some of what I thought were good examples of architectural style. the first three links are places local to me:

http://www.st-marys-canterbury.kent.sch.uk/graphics/tudor2.jpg

They're probably a bit over fancy for what you're going for, but still they show a few elements which could be picked out, in particular the roof style (no flat bits), the height of the second level before the roof kicks in, and window variation.
As I said though, theres nothing really wrong with it, I'd concetrate on the points the others have made on things that could do with fixing.

Oh and I thought I'd throw this in, not a good example, but everytime I walk past it there are tourists taking photos heh:

Anyway, I hope this might be helpful in some way.

I quite like the blue doors, but thinking about the buildings design as a whole, I'd have to ask - what era are you going with, if any?
Because as it stands the roof in particular makes it look very modern. if you're going for the typical rpg style then I'd suggest googling some tudor architecture. And I agree some window bays in the roof would help.
Oh yeah and the tree looks a lot better, I like how the leaves are going.

I'd say the top of the tree doesnt look near big enough for the size of the trunk.
I do really like the render of the face of the building though, but maybe deepen the shadows in/under windows and doors and the roof overhang to tie in with the shadow cast on the ground.

I'd love to see Minish Cap in greater focus.
Primarily because its the only one that looks particularly beautiful to me, but also it seems a lot stronger in terms of design even if the techniques arent as clever as DC. Also while I don't know enough on the subject, I think the tiling looks exceptional.
I will agree that although I dont like the look of DC, it would make for good critique. If for nothing else because of the strong love/hate feelings it obviouslt arouses in people here. Theres nowt wrong with a bit of controversy.

I really like the top one, the second seems a little murky, perhaps just brighten it a little. The only other crit I'd add is i think there should be a bit of a cone in front of the propellers, even if its just one pixel, it looks a bit odd with the front of them being totally flat.

I completely forgot I made this topic! so sorry for the slow replies, but thanks.
I guess I intended him to be about 16 - 18.
Now you guys mention It yeah, his legs are too short, I'm not sure what I've done 'cos I measured out the initial drawing. At least the top half seems to be proportioned so a leg-lengthening shouldnt be too much of a problem!
The black stuff...err...yeah... hehe well I was joking with someone that it was vengeance..materialised! hehe. other than that I dont know. I just felt like doing some black swirlyness, I don't have a better explanation than that :p

hehe we both picked the same lines!
