I'm the founder and main developer at Pokka Labs, and today I'm here following the retirement from the project of my previous artist due to some personal reasons; I am now looking again for a 3d artist / pixel artist able to produce assets with the style & feel of Donkey Kong Country 2. Hello and thanks for reading, I'm pokka and I'm working on a platformer on my free time, as from the title, I'm looking for a 3d artist / pixel artist to replicate the style of Donkey Kong Country (I'm aiming to a dkc2 feeling to be precise). To start i'd need the main character, and later on more stuff like enemies and enviroment. To be precise as first work I'd need the little dude posted below (a clearer image will be provided later on by pm) with different animations, the job is paid and i'd like to discuss the cost of each work with you later on if interested, this is an offer that may lead to a regular collaboration as long as i like your work.

Who am I :

Hello, my name is Andrea, aka Pokka; I'm a 19 years old italian currently studying to become a gamedesigner, and also leader of a small developing team, or at least i was used to be, since recently we had some old members leaving due to personal stuff going on, so we're left with me as developer, an artist, and a music composer.

Our game :

Our game has originally been made for a jam in collaboration with newgrounds and scirra, and we're now aiming to revamp this game to have a funny gameplay much more like a proper rogue-like since right now it's nothing but a minigame in my opinion; our final goal however is a release on steam through the just launched steam direct service, which requires a fee which i'll personally pay ofcourse. If you are willing to try our game at it's current state please check the links below.

Who are we looking for :

We are looking for unpaid -or with rev-share payment- pixelartists, full-time or part-time is your choice, to join us and complete this project, the skills required are being creative, being able to animate and/or being able to produce assets of a maximum size going around 64x64 or 96x96 pixels. The game itself has a resolution of 854x480 (16:9) fully scalable/responsive so the size of the needed assets will be relatively small. Another important point we require is a good activity on our discord, this doesn't mean you have to be online 24/7, but we'd require to being avaible at least an hour 4-5 days a week to check updates and talk about new commissions or game related stuff.

Who am I ?

Hello, my name is Andrea, aka Pokka; I'm a 19 years old italian freelancer and leader of a small developing team with four more freelancers.

The basics :

We are developing a bullethell with rpg like elements, in both graphics and mechanics codename "PRJ:Generations" for now, based on the same concept of GoW, slaying gods, but with bullet hell like combact; it's developed with the help of bulletml script language. Now that you know the basics of our project let me give you a more interesting info: The game has most of it's mechanics done, the only thing missing for a demo are the graphics and some audio/music effects, which are both inspired by chronotrigger/snes games. Our plan is to have a solid demo built to share, so we may start a SMALL crowdfunding -not asking for enormous amount of money- again a SMALL crowdfunding, a steam project page and a indiemod page to get some real feedback.

What's next :

Once we've collected enough data we may discuss if the full game developing should happening, based on the feedback. If people appreciated it and had crowd funded, or if it has been disliked and failed the crowd fund. Rev-share or hourly pay for you, these are details to define post-demo/post-crowd fund. This would mean UNPAID work for the demo and paid work if the project start.

Who are we looking for :
So, basically we are looking for an unpaid freelancer, full-time or part-time is your choice, to join us and  speed up our work, with the good chance of a pay and an engagement for a permanent job in the team.
