I've made a rough update based on the advice (see first post).

Pixel Art / [WIP] The Kraken Awakens
« on: February 28, 2010, 08:05:00 pm »
I've been working on this on and off for a while now, and so far it has been fairly straight forward. That said, I've never really done anything like this, and would appreciate any tips or advice when progressing. I'm mostly hoping for critique on the composition of the piece rather than the pixeling. My main focus has been making sure the boat looks like it's being constricted, and not simply being held.

No. This is misunderstanding about giving credit for references, not someone claiming someone elses artwork as their own.

I think this is a misunderstanding.

Ryumaru said "Are these your own creations or from something," as if to say did he design them, or is it an existing character (at least that's how I interpreted it). It is rehugun's design. He made the small sprite, and elk did the drawing from that. In the pixeljoint submission he states that the art he's basing it on was by elk.

Stop blowing this out of proportion.

Pixel Art / iPhone Game - Mecho Wars
« on: March 03, 2009, 11:11:07 am »

I recreated 2 screens from the game that were posted on kotaku, but without the NPA of course.

Overworld sprites were co-made by OSM.

Here's the background unblocked.

Any C+C is welcome.

Pixel Art / Re: Bioshock

Thanks Gill. I'll take that into consideration.

I'm pretty sure it IS near the sprite limit, but the beauty of that is in Bioshock there's often only a single enemy on screen.
