Meh, I liked heartless Leel, rather than kind and forgiving Leel. Suits your cold Ukranian heart...*shudders*
What are you on about?  I've always been kind and forgiving!  But I can get my whip out of storage, if that's what you're into  ;)

I remember taking that test a year or so ago.    36% happy right now, geez.  Wait though - I had a pet, but someone took her and then lost her and she no doubt is dead by now.. how is that a point for happiness?  D:   Thank goodness I have a cell phone and a screen name to get me through these hard times.

10th of feb is off to a pretty good start

I drove by the local raid and honked a bit, but it was so cold and miserable outside.  I feel awful now, I should've gone back and brought the guys some food and hot drinks, they were all huddled together...   I'll definitely do that next month :D

I have another update:

I was trying to break up the big chunks of color, but now she looks older and kind of weird...  Should I go back to a smoother cheek+jaw?

I'll try to stay with 10 colors then, if you think it'll work.  But I really don't know what to do with the forehead and the side of the cheek + jaw.. they're just big boring blocks of color and make it look unfinished IMO..   The forehead is really killing me.

I agree the turban looks flat, especially the topmost pieces - I shaded it all too evenly, I'll save that for last XD

Thanks for the comments, let me know how I did with the edit.  Now I'm off to practice back parking.  ;D

Hi everyone.

PJ people might've seen this already, I did it for a challenge two weeks ago.  I was really short on time, so I soft of half-assed .. everything.  I'm pretty sick of it, but I took a little break, so maybe now I'll be able to look at it with fresh eyes and finish.

Things I'm gonna work on (tomorrow):

1. Try unify the face and turban more, though I'd prefer not to dither the face.. but.. I guess I'll see how that goes.
2. Colors: gonna add more, mainly to make the face less choppy  and to make the headwrap stand out a bit.
3. Flaber gave me a ton of crits on the turban already, and I'm mainly gonna work on making the fabric seem lighter and less like a towel.
4. Background?
5. Neck needs fixing, I'll have too look up refs, but suggestions are very welcome.

CC whatever you want; I have a week left before my classes start again, so I'll try to be productive.

And just in case someone didn't see this on pj, I traced a quickie sketch based on this reference.  It barely even resembles the ref, but thought I'd post it anyway.

When I was around 6-7 an old lady from up the street hanged herself right outside my kitchen window.

She couldn't do it in her own apartment building, because the stairs didnt go up that high(there was a dance studio in the basement, so first floor was higher than the other building), and also the railings on our stairs were broken right at the top, so it was the only place she could go under the railing and jump off.  We lived on the first floor, right by the stairs there, so one day our neighbor knocks on the door and asked if we knew what happened. My mom thought that my dad got in an accident or something, but the guy said "no, go look out  your window" It was really scary.

I agree with snaily, but maybe that's just because mine is pretty new and I haven't gotten used to it enough to have the control I need for pixelart.  But I love it anyway!  I bought a 6x8 Wacom Graphire4 on ebay, and it was way cheaper than a 4x6 at the store.  I don't know about the prices in the UK but, just thought i should mention that ;)

You saw this on  Mind finding the link for me?  I'm not a member there and I haven't played runescape in a year or so..

Panda - would you mind explaining more what you mean? Because from a quick glance at your edit it seems like you simply made everything smaller, I didn't really see too many differences other than making the size of the eye more proportional and realistic.
I'll study it more when I get a change tomorrow, but I'd still appreciate further explanation if you can, thanks ;)
