Pixel Art / Re: New project: German officer planning attack.

I like the head a lot, but I think the hat is riding a little high. And I agree with Faktablad... he looks like a doll, just standing there. His body isn't really doing anything, and even with a hand out it's straight and emotionless.

It's a really good sprite overall, but a general wracking his brain over a battle plan would not be standing up like a doll. He's be scratching his head, bent over charts and maps.

At the frame right before the tail starts to go back down, there's a flash of blue cloth. I figure you meant it to be that way, but since it only exists in the last frame, it looks weird.

Wanted to do a grey scale, tiny shoot 'em up side scrolling mockup.

I honestly made the same mistake yesterday. Unless you're talking about one of the other chars, in which case, sorry!

o.o;; Wow! That's incredible! Thank you!

I tried to make a bush in the same style as your tree..

I don't think I got it exactly, the shading looks weird to me, but I did get pretty close.

Okay, so when you choose darker shades, make it grayer and push it towards blue a little more. I never knew that, thanks!

I've made each tile 20x20.. is that too large? And, I know that tiles are used so that you can control where your character can and can't go, but can each tile be made separately and individually for each map, or do you need a tileset? Or can you use tilesets for whatever you might need and basic things like ground and grass and trees...

All right, I tried again and this new tree is going to work pretty well with the style of the game that I'd like to eventually attempt creating.

:B And yes, those are carrots.

General Discussion / Re: Actual impact of Video Games

I don't really play video games anymore... I have a DS Lite which has been battery-dead for half a year and an N64 that works only half of the time. :B

I've found that nowadays I'd rather create and design the games than play them... I'm an artist at heart, but my brain says otherwise.
