King Crow Studios (https://www.kingcrowstudios.com/) is seeking a pixel art animator to complete an art update on our current Early Access game Necroball (https://store.steampowered.com/app/563410/Necroball/). We’re in the final stages of polishing the mechanics of the game after years of feedback and we're updating the visuals and adding more enemy types for the full launch.

This job offer totals 34 animations which we will provide original sprites, sizing, and frame expectation in a contract once we’ve met and discussed the timeline of the project.

If you are interested in this position please email info@kingcrowstudios.com with your portfolio, rate, and availability.

If you have any other questions, please feel free to post on this thread or email us at the address above.

Best Regards,

King Crow Studios

I'd assume it's around $30 - 60 ?
Based on the complexity of the animation and fluidity, I think it would be closer to the upper end of that estimate. I may be off with my calculations.

Is this an hourly rate or the total cost of the sprite you are estimating?

I was thinking more along the lines of the Animation itself.
So hourly I'd say something more like $25 - 30 / hr

So you estimate this animation would take upwards to 2 hours at $25-30/hr.

Thanks for the info!

If anyone else has a quote to contribute, please do!

May I ask, how many frames within that running animation?

8 frames.

Hello,

The company I work for is creating a twin-stick shmup with heavy inspiration from the SNES era of gaming. Our combat is similar to Pocky & Rocky, and the RPG elements are similar to Chrono Trigger.

We have been working with artists locally and would like to see if the rates here compare to the rates we are paying for sprites.

Please let us know how much you would charge for the following sprite:

Running Animation
(Terribly sorry that I only have the gif for now, if I need to readdress this post because of it, let me know)

If you could list your hourly rate, and how many hours you think this would take you, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
