My first thought was Teletubbies!  :D

It sucks, the whole world is blurry for me. Damn bad eyesight :P
Gotta grab the IE Tab and see if it does the trick. I'm really tired of this, perhaps just skip FF3 and go back..

I agree with EvilEye on this particularly
He's punching with his finger joints, you want to punch with your knuckles.

It also gives the impression that he's not folding his hand good enough. A punch like that will hurt alot to the hand :)
I don't know if this is just me with bad eyes, but is the thumb inside or outside the folded hand?
If inside, a hard punch would definetly break the thumb :/ Perhaps I just think it looks like that because of the hit isn't with the knuckes but with the joints?

Otherwise I think it's really cool and fluid!

The yellow is really hard to read, either darken the background or change color to something else. The contrast is really low between background and the sword.

I think the base sprite could use some more contrast. Or perhaps it is this crappy screen.
I will have another check when I get home.
I think the character design in overall is really cool though :)
I also feel that the rocks looks a bit out of place for now when placed on the grass. Perhaps some longer straws that surrounds the rocks in some places?
Perhaps I can come with an edit if you don't understand what i mean, but i think you do ;)

Trees sounds nice,
I also think mountains or ruins would work nicely.

I've been working on the tiles a bit, but I have no clue how to make them more interesting!
Does anyone have any tips or tutorials on metallic platform tiles?

By the way, there is an early alpha-version you can download here;

You can bring down the console with .

Thanks for all comments!

If you are interested I'm currently working on the networking part of the game.
It works, but the latency is EXTREME! But you CAN se each other and run around.

I haven't got time to work on the tiles so much, but I will.

Perhaps the jumping in every step is something I include in the physics? Not sure, but yeah it would be cool.
Although the gravity is kind of .. strong ingame. It might be easiest to create that effect with physics if I decide to have variable such.

It would be cool to se other color schemes, that's something I have to do also. And other characters with the same style.
Think I'll go and work with the tiles a bit instead of just goofing around ;)

EDIT: This is what I got at this point. Can't seem to figure out how to make it any better!
