There are 3 problems my beginner's eyes spotted:

-The outlining the pilot have and the rest of the world doesn't.

-I can't distinguish where the tree ends and the road begins.

-I can't get the grass (you can learn with the grass this guy made http://wayofthepixel.net/index.php?topic=18096.0)

I like your style! I'm a newbie in pixel arting and drawing in general, but I think the hair/bear color have to contrast with the skin tone, I changed the color to look more dwarvish and looked better

again, I'm a beginner in pixel art

Pixel Art / [C+C] City sprites for game

Hello guys,
I'm working on a platformer game for mobile devices, the game will be divided in two scenarios: the sewers and the city. I think the sewer sprites are ok, but I'm having some difficulties making the city's walls, ground and platforms.
Here are the sprites:

seems to me that the color and style doesn't fit together, need some advice.

Link to the game (only sewers implemented): www.jordyadan.com/dtadz3

Thank you

Thanks for the help, I liked both your edits.

Samrat, I'm not using this anywhere, the art without the detail just seemed too "empty". Since you are a beginner like me, how are you training and where you're learning?

Coffee, I'm amazed by your remake, everything fits the image, the water, the boat reflected, thank you for the tips.
