Job offers / RPG Tilesets [Fantasy Themed - Artist Preference]
« on: August 30, 2013, 02:13:56 pm »
More details are available on our website. We advise that you register there if you are serious about working with us.

We have details explaining the work on our website, but a concise version will be posted here as per forum rules.

We are Grey Method, a new game development studio in the UK - as current we are a partnership and not an official company but that will change in the near future. We are working on a variety of projects but our main focus is on our RPG for Windows and Mac. We have designed most of the engine and the story is prepared, but we need graphics.

If you are planning to work with us the rate would typically be £5.75 an hour, which is $9.00 an hour. Payment is made per completion of each individual graphic set and at a milestone agreed by both parties via email. Due to budgeting restrictions jobs that would require more than $50 payment must be discussed and informed of the time required to complete it before you work on the project where feasible.

We do not however want to restrict the ability and preference of the artist. Examples of the style of art we would like is on our recruitment page, but as long as the tiles are consistent and of a high quality and at a resolution of 16x16 or 32x32 (artist's choice) - we are content with any style of art so long as it is of reasonable quality.

Payment would likely be made via PayPal or bank transfer if preferred, and we can be contacted on matthew@greymethodgames.com. There are not many pre-requisites on this project but for ease, this is taken from our website.

{} You must be at least 16 years of age.
{} The content you create will be solely the intellectual property of Matthew Hall (Founder). Your name however will be mentioned in the credits for any projects where your art is used.
{} You create the content based on reward, which means that it is informal work. Upon completing individual milestones you will be rewarded with fair monetary incentives. This can range from £5 to £200 based on the work done.
{} You must have solid contact information. This includes an active email account, instant messaging and if possible a phone number.
{} You must be able to commit to the project, keeping focused and providing a consistent quality of art.
{} You should be able to accept payment either via PayPal or Bank Transfer.

Fair monetary incentives does include the basic wage of £5.75 an hour, and as mentioned will likely increase in correlation with the quality of work received.

As for background information on the game, more will be provided upon contact - however this much is available.

The game is a fantasy style game in the perspective of a young character. There is a final fantasy eqsue battle system along with full splash art cutscenes and the tilesets for the world zones are what you as an artist will work on. Examples of tilesets are on our recruitment page, but we will ask for a variety of environments to be created along with objects which will need to be represented visually as per our story.

We look forward to working with you, there are no restrictions on location.
