Job offers / Spriter for Penumbra Hearts
« on: October 26, 2013, 11:37:47 pm »
Hey everyone!
I think this must be the 3rd time I've posted here for the same reason?
Nether the less I'm here again. Due to certain reasons this project is now down a spriter and we still need someone for the tilesets!
The project is an rpg with a similar battle system to "the tales of" series. The battle sprites will be in platformer style, we're also thinking of having them at a size of 96 x 96

Payment will be discussed, however we'd prefer the rate be "Per frame" rather than "Per Hour"
We'd also like to keep in contact with you regularly.

For this project we would ask for someone with a lot of free time as there are many things we need.

To contact us, either do it through the forum or email us here: PenumbraHearts@gmail.com

Thank you for taking the time to read this and we hope you consider this project.

Job offers / [Resolved] Penumbra Hearts Sprites [revisited]
« on: August 22, 2013, 12:58:28 am »
Hey all. Me again.

So after my last post I got a lot of offers for some art, and all of them were really great but a lot of them sadly weren't what we were looking for. Someone did actually end up staying on board with us as a member of this game, however we're just having him as the battle sprite artist.
I would have bumped my old thread, but since it was locked I couldn't do that lol.
Anyway, the deal is, we still need people to do:
32x64 sprites with 12 frames to show a walking animation for both the main characters
Tilesets for many different maps. Once again, more will be discussed about this when you contact us because there is a lot to explain.

Please remember that the game has a dark theme. We're looking for sprites similar to that of Chrono Trigger or Golden sun however if your style is not like this, send us a message anyway, we're always looking for a welcome surprise. With the tiles, we're looking for something similar to Final fantasy 6, but obviously brought into the modern day if that makes sense.

Once again, payment will be discussed, however when sending your rates we ask that you send it "$ per Tile/frame" rather than "$ per Hour"and we want you to remember that we are a small 2 man company. We don't have all the money in the world (sadly) and thus we won't be able to pay ridiculous amounts. But regardless of prices, send us a message and we'll just let you know.

We hope to have fun with this project and would like it to be fun for all who are working on it!

Job offers / [Resolved] Sprites and Tilesets for Penumbra Hearts
« on: July 27, 2013, 12:23:50 am »
Hello everyone!
Wanderer of the Myst are currently working on an rpg named Penumbra Hearts. We are looking for spriters because we are not exactly artistically talented in that way...
What are we looking for:
  • 32x32 sprites with 12 frames to show a walking animation for both the main characters
  • Battle sprites. More will be discussed about this when you contacts us
  • Tilesets for many different maps. Once again, more will be discussed about this when you contact us.
We have managed to get a spriter, thanks for the interest everyone. We still need Tilesets though, so if you feel you can help us with this, go ahead and shoot us a message! :)
What we are looking from you:
  • A reasonable price
  • Good quality work
  • A good attitude
If you think you can provide anything then please contact us. If you require more information about the game or have any questions for me or Gabriel, feel free to shoot us a message on this website. Alternatively you can contact us here:
Email: PenumbraHearts@gmail.com

Thank you all so much for all your applications. We saw many talented artists!

Pixel Art / 8-bit styled sprites
« on: July 25, 2013, 11:23:37 pm »
I'm working on some 8-bit styled characters from my game Penumbra Hearts:

I say 8-bit styled because if it was truly 8-bit I'd be limited to 3 colours...
Personally I think that in the 2nd frame, the bow should look longer at the end... But that's just me.
Let me know what you think...
I've tried my hand at spriting many times and know I'm not the best, but I'm happy with these sprites :D

Thanks for taking time to read the thread and reply (if you did reply)
