I can't get grafx2 to run at 1024x768. I keep getting this:
Does anyone know a solution?

Solution: Pro Motion? :P

But seriously, are you running the dos version of Grafx2? If so, why not try run the windows version instead?
You could also try running the Dos version using Dosbox

The screens are from the Amiga version of the Chaos Engine.

Commercial Critique / Re: The CC suggestion thread.

I'd say we go for an adventure game this time (or maybe some other game that isn't tile/sprite based).
My suggestion would (once again) be Cruise for a Corpse http://hol.abime.net/3134/screenshot
I think it has a really nice atmosphere and style that would be both fun to analyze and try to imitate.

Mental note: I should post here more often...

Another way to do it, is to use the stencil tool. This method is a little bit slower but can be used if you want to replace one colour with several other colours (hope you understand. I'm not good at explaining this). Choose the colour you want to replace in the stencil dialog box and press the invert stencil button. You can now paint in the new colour with a standard brush tool, shape tool or whatever. It's very similar to the magic wand tool in Photoshop.

Btw, I think we should make a sticky thread where we can gather all those nifty tricks that can be made with Pro Motion.

I actually think (not 100% certain though) that Geoshell, the shell replacement that I use takes up less resources than windows explorer (It uses about 3 MB of memory right now).
I have to say that I really like you're desk Stewlin. The background is very nice and subtle and you seem to "hate" those icons as much as I do.

-Canvas size: 240x160 (bigger width than height)
-Each of you must use your own background of the sky you just created - as your background for the mockup - no edits or changes to that.

Isn't this going to be a problem for Mirre? As you all know her backgound was 160x240, not 240x160.
Other than that, I think that this idea is the best you've had so far. I'm expecting some pretty astounding mock-ups from both the contestants. Good luck!
