Hi there,
I'm looking for an artist to, essentially, be a partner in game development.  I've got ideas I can program but they look like a programmer did the art.  And I'm sure there are artists out there that have the ideas and the art, but need the programmer.  I'm hoping to find someone that will fully participate in someone else's idea and I'll do the same.  I just want to make games, no contests, no publishers, just games.  I have a full-time job, so I can't dedicate 40+ hours a week, and you're not expected to either (unless you want to).

I have 15 years of programming experience, and 10 years in the video game industry, from QA to tools, programmer to being a PM.  I'm a jack of many trades, but none of them have art in the title.  Seriously, I can't draw a stickman to save my life.

If you're in the Seattle area, even more awesome.  If you like drinks, the best most awesome.

The reason I'm not putting up a game idea here is that I'd like to collaborate on an idea that is ours.  And, frankly, ideas are easy, execution is the hard part (and, evidently, finding pixel artists in the Seattle area that are willing to work like this).

This is in unpaid, because I'd like any potential future profits to be figured out based on the amount of work, not on my ignorance of an unfinished product's requirements.  With that said, I could have some money to spend if needed, but I'm not looking for an employee at this time.

I do have an LLC I've started for projects (game and non-game) so, if something ever gets to a releasable state, there is a vehicle to release.

Thank you, please let me know if you have any questions either here or via PM.

Oh, and you don't have to be in Seattle - it'd just be nifty to have someone nearby that has the same reason to be working on stuff and avoiding the copious amounts of rain.
