Pixel Art / Re: Anime Male Base, WIP (Need Guidance)
« on: September 25, 2013, 12:30:58 am »
Lose the outlines its just pointless and distracting.

V1 kinda looks like facing 45 degree and V2 is like facing right a bit more.

Not sure why your still concentrating on the base so much instead of designing some characters though.

It's a Morpg where you custom custom your characters appearance, so anyways I made two of the NPC's that Influence your characters path of story and attributes. but anywho if you guys wanna have some fun you can try making your favorite anime character with my base.

as for the outlines I like the sticker look, I might make all the art look like a photo sticker book.

alright I referenced the picture Sohei posted for this variation and also went ahead and did all 4 directions, 4 East and west there are 2 versions, please let me know which of the two you see more natural, also I like this black and white outline, because it looks like little Stickers.  ;D

Here's what I came up with, I kinda like it more than my previous designs. As for the project its a MORPG I'm basically re skinning it for the programmer so all the art is consistently one style. anyways Whatcha think of the new approach?

I've made chibi art before but I don't think it was good as yours, I think i'll give it a try again.

Pixel Art / Anime Universe Online game art WIP
« on: September 16, 2013, 04:58:45 am »
Hello again, I've recently decided to help out a friend with redoing the art for his project, and the concept is a smash up of different Anime, So I decided to reference a male anime template this one to be exact >
Anyways, the result of my reference came out to be rather lacking in the art aspect of it looking like a anime character > and since this has to be a movable character with complete animations I know it needs perspective edits, so please someone share some guidance.

Other notes, please tell me how I did on my shading is it fine so far?

Pixel Art / Turf Guidance needed
« on: November 06, 2012, 10:37:20 pm »
Alright so I'v been trying to ease up on the details and I'm not very good with turfs so the most simplistic look is what I'm shooting for. Here is all the variations of Dirt tiles I worked on the squares are 2 by 2. So far my personal favorite is the second row middle section.

Here's the different grass tiles.

Small Mock up.

This is an amazing edit! :y:
I agree the change in the head and amount of fur really gives the appearance of a Wolf Humanoid.

(no need to quote an image directly above, but thanks - facet :) )

The hair/tail is kinda dragging on the ground in the north, East walk cycle, why not make it sway with his steps, also there is no long hair/ tail in the south animation, it's as if it was never there or is already swaying and we can no longer see it.

Pixel Art / HUD wip
« on: September 28, 2012, 12:17:50 am »
Hey this is just a HUD I started working on today.

HP: Right  Mana:Left
I was wondering what you folks might think of it?
I'm considering gray scaling it and then adding the HP and Mana, but I don't know what to do anymore criticism please? :D

Another Update: The Hud is still a work in progress but I'm trying to give you guys an idea of how I want it to look and function. What I mean by Custom Hot Keys is in the Circles it will say what key you macro that function to, for example A = Shield S = Sword.

In better news I'm glad to say I finished the walk animation for all directions:D

also I have a start on the first enemy, always recognizable in many rpg's the Slime Monster :3

PS: it does have an idle animation already but I was too lazy to show you guys.
