Are you limiting your colors? if so I think it's fine, otherwise I think the wings could use a bit of that 'Freshwater'(blue-green) color you usually see present on it's wings.

I think you're good for a limited palette thingy, but I just love that wing color. Well done man.

I really like the way the trees are done, I want to see the characters which go along with the style. :y:

Ice...crea..tue..sda..y? Um yeah, can't say much as it's a work in process except for the color of the caves, there could be a little less contrast as when rock is compact it does not give the appearance of being jagged or petrified, unless a rocky cave is what you are going for.

Redid the palm without copying the leaf pattern from the first one, the coniferous one is in progress, added a sitting animation and some character hair tests as well at two armor tests.

No problem. Anything about the character template?

The palm doesn't look ripped

It is, canopies are almost exactly the same shape-

Anyway, it looks like you just edited the existing sprites, which won't help you nearly as much as using them as a ref and doing it yourself.

I didn't rip the trees though, both trees were used as references, and the trunks are entirely different.
I took the leaf formation from both trees because I didn't have a good reference picture for the leaf formation on such trees.
As it stands both trees are still work in progress at this point, it was just a progression.

Graphical update, added some trees I'm working on, the coniferous tree and the palm, also did a quick paperdolling test for one of the little guys, adding an outfit as well as a pickaxe. Then I have a very wip walk animation in progress, something's off where the head bobs too much in animation.

The lighting on the palm is wrong as is the palette, I need some help with that.

Take notice to how the hair in this picture frays to one side of links head as well as the different mid-tones to the strands in his hair in the picture below.

In your preview you kind of clump the hair on the forehead of your character as opposed to letting it flow naturally, it kind of looks like a liquid is leaking down his head.

As you can see instead of actual strands, in the lower-poly art (above) there are simply darker lines to achieve the desired effect, try adding more contrast and experimenting with honey color (or auburn) [#F4940C or near that] to get the kind of look in the picture.
