Pixel Art / Re: Game tiles
« on: February 01, 2012, 05:10:54 am »
The dirt tile is really repetitive -- add another dirt tile and use the two of them randomly. This will help you break up the grid look.

Also, the 'inside' tiles aren't different enough from the 'outside' tiles, I think.

Otherwise looks awesome, good work!

Doesn't look like a sprite to me.

General Discussion / Archiving Pixelation
« on: January 25, 2012, 12:58:36 am »
I've noticed that a lot of old threads here have broken images. That's really sad -- there is a lot of wisdom contained in these forums, and much of it seems to have been lost to the sands of time.

Does anyone have automatic archiving things going on Pixelation? If not, I might write one of my own.

He's still off-balance. The line art needs fixing, like Phlakes said. He looks like he's about to fall over backwards :P

Oh, haha :) Yeah, my intention was to do 2-color, not necessarily to do something GB-specific.

Trying some 2-color work to focus on individual pixels.

New to pixelling, and to drawing & art in general. Would like some C+C on readability and pixel placement :)

The last image with the detail of the folds on the robe is way better -- looks awesome! I think the whole image needs more detail :)

We have fixes for FF and IE to counter the interpolation.
But if the browser in your phone uses Webkit (which is what Safari and Chrome use) then there seems to be no fix for this. And seeing that Android is Google stuff it probably is Webkit.

The guy working on that is my manager, I'll ping him and find out what's going on :)

Seems like 90% of the images in these threads have long since vanished :(

Perhaps this list is due for a refresh?
