Pixel Art / Re: Security Cop head animation (need crits for the head cycle)

Uhh.. it's a little hard to critique the head cycle if we can't see it in motion. These are just the frames, not the actual animation.

Heads up on the dithering, I think you did fairly well for dithering especially using different hues, I admire people's ability to do that. (Because I suck at it.) I agree with Blick, the scratch lines look a little odd. His arms also look a little odd, I know how the arm does that kind of .. flab coming over the edge thing but it seems a bit too much/too deep. I really really don't know how to explain that very well. Sorry.

His head is a little straight, but I like it. The blood could look alot better.

ah good ol' Terror Raven. it kind of seems like his head is stuck to his right shoulder, or that could just be his lack of neck.
anyways, great job ;)

Yeah, I can recognize it's tilted, but perhaps its a little offset, and that's why it seems like that.
I like it, nice dithering. :D

I think it's potentially a good sprite, however the shading needs more contrast (more difference between each shade), and perhaps an outline, whether it be black or a much darker shade. If he's wearing a cloak, the bottom half of it doesn't really give that effect, it looks more like pants. His body mass, well the cloak, should be thicker.

Good work however, keep it up. ;)

Hehe that is so bad-ass, it really has some character to this little sprite.
I like it, and it seems to be in style so I don't have any crits.

Oh one thing is his jacket on right, where it goes three pixels in, that area generally looks a little odd, but I can understand working with small pixels is hard so I'm not entirely sure how to fix that up. Some else may have a little more help for you, sorry!

A few things - the left ear. Is looking wonky, you may have to fiddle with it. It goes skinny before the fold, this doesn't look very good.
Also, the arms - the upper arms are pudgy and seem to squish his bunny-boobies in as if they have some cleavage.

Other than that, it's cute, yet devilish. ;D
Can't wait to see the colouring!

Wow! The latest version absolutely kicks ass. A tad less cartoony and a little more depth, I really like this.
The 'emerging' effect looks, good, I think it has a bit more impact than the moon. A more powerful piece, certainly more darker.

The difference between two or more things.

eg. Low contrast means there is very little different between shades of colour (which makes it dull, and pillow shading-like).
But higher contrast sprites look better, stand out more and are all around more visually appealing.
Too much contrast and it looks stupid, as if the shades or shadows are totally different parts.

I agree with Sawtooth.

The face lighting appears to be from the right, the body's lighting from the left and the leg's lighting from the center.

I thought it was rather low contrast as well.

I think they look good so far, you should do alot more on the troll and repost it because at the moment theres not much to critique, it looks sweet at the moment.

And the screaming baby is quite humorous. :P
