Thanks guys, here's the update:

I managed to get natu's body better, and get it more readable and keeping true to natu's look.
Edited everyone else so shading feels proper, and edited diglett's dirt to look less boring and make it's face also more readable. Cherubi I also did the same with it's leaf and shading.
Budew I tried to edit, I really don't want to edit the face more than this, have tried multiple ways but out of all of them this is the best imo, budew's eyes are naturally curved, so it wouldn't look much like budew without it, hopefully this new one is somewhat more readable than before. I also gave them an outline that isn't 100% black.

Thanks for the help, they look much better now.

I've actually spent most of the day working on these since I didn't get any crits yet lol.
I know I don't have to use pure black, I'll probably edit that next time. I just updated the first post with some new stuff. The first top one I can't really go any further, it's face is 'v' and it was difficult turning it, that's the best it could look imo. Thanks for comment.

lol I hope no one was expecting recolors.

I joined here a long time ago but I had only posted like 1 sprite here, but I'm getting more serious into my pixel art and would like to get better, so I came back lol.

Back in 2007 I was working on pokemon sprites for a game idea I had for a sidescroller/platformer. I decided to redo the sprites along with making some new.
I'm trying to perfect these so I could have a complete style for this, so crits are welcome. And if anyone knows any tips for spriting platformers that would be lovely too.

edit: Added some new stuff, fixed up some previous stuff as well.

It reminds of Mugen from Samurai Champloo, the face looks kinda off, and the background could be better with some trees and better detailed grass.

@mateusthiago- thanks, worked pretty hard on it. :)

@Ai- thanks for the crit, i fixed up the breast and added a different background color:

also i added an extra shade of red to give it 16 colors as i was going for.
as for the waist, it isn't a skirt, it is part of her tail and it's suppose to be larger scales around the waist to give more character in it, and the scales shrink towards down to the bottom of tail so you can't see it, i would get rid of it, but i think it looks fine that way.

and i think i know what to do with the bubble now, i'll show it in an updated version because im currently doing a merman.

15/16 colors
kinda inspired my mirre's mermaid PA and that helped me choose the right colors and stuff for my pallete.
I'm also trying to make my own rpg style and i think ive got it this time.
C+C newer stuff is toward the bottom.

its head is covered by the leaf like a hat, purple part is the hair, the 2 leaves are just there as part of its clothing, and it has no arms, just feet

thanks for the comments though, sorry if i didnt make it more specific.

New guy here :P

It's suppose to be some little creature from a forest, just a simple small sprite, no major C+C would be needed, but comments could.

edit: fixed pose a bit.
