This is so literally expressed in the piece to demonstrate the nebulous nature of sexual attraction.

The figure, Poseidon, is depicted as such to show his embrace of the water and its vinegar.

I used such feminine imagery to limn a motherly love I would not have been able to achieve with the (stone-faced) image of Poseidon himself.

Also, tying into what I've previously stated, the confusion of motherly love being represented by normally erotic anatomy attempts to demonstrate the ambiguity of sexual attraction.

As the vagina and breasts used to be, "where we come from and where we eat."

As we grow this idea is perverted, clearly, as the statement in quotations could be taken out of context.
