any chance there will be a thread with all of the amazing pixel artwork? I know there are tons of sites out there that have all the pixel art from old NES and SNES games ripped out and available for viewing pleasure... is this something that would not be acceptable?
I would like to "closely examine" Sheena and Lucia

I don't know if it is against the rules to resurrect your own pixel thread, but I have just found some new time to get back into pixelling!

I made this new guy using the player 1 from Contra 3 as a base, but with different dimensions (shorter). How can I get his fists to read better? Any crits welcome :)

hey calle :)

I have seen your nancy-6 website before, i myself am into the NDS homebrew scene  :y:

What you have so far is pretty nice, but if you are doing a castlevania type game, why not simply start with some sprites from the latest game and use it as a bottom layer, and draw on top, in order to get fluid animation? do a simple google search for castlevania sprites and i'm sure you can find a ton.

also, looking for additional artists to help with the game? keep it up !

if ur serious about developing for the NDS you might want to check out www.palib.com and read the tutorials.

or find urself a coder

woah looks like the halloween emoticons have been replaced dang i liked them...  >:(
sorry for the shirtless dude bonanza but I am trying to come up with a character for a beat em up game / platformer
the proportions should be big huge head, shoulders, arms, medium to tiny torso and legs...
this would be a start on the main hero character:

haha awesome Terley, that looks great, especially likin' the job on the visor.  :y:
The reason I used a different color for the collar part is because even though it is not really made clear, I imagine the light blue from the torso goes up to his neck as seen in the original old school sprite:

I see what you mean about the lightsource, thanks :)
