Lineart by Serena. edited by me

Wasn't sure if I was gonna post this but Mirre and Schu suggested I do so.  Couldn't decide whether the pinky/purple one works better or the one that uses the darkest skin tone in it's place so here's both.  I personally prefer the pinky...

If you're assuming the music will be in the game, I can assure you it won't be. It's just a random tune Spekkio put in to test out the sound output.

Didn't think it would be. Was just commenting on how much the tune still reminds me of sweets and chupa chups (it's a remix of the rock track from the old game Zool).

For some reason the animation only worked the one time for me.  Probably because I stilll have issues with various Java applets on this PC.  I usually do my best to avoid such sites.

Cool, but it's hard to listen to that music without thinking about sweets...

Played Twilight Princess at my lil cousin's place last week.  It's not bad but it's really not great.  I really don't much like using the Wiimote either.  Game was better than the godawful N64 games but overall it just seemed mediocre with only the odd flash of greatness.  I came home and started playing Link's Awakening DX from the start and still enjoy that and LttP way more than any of the 3D Zeldas.  That Wiisports he got with his Wii was terrible too.

Main one that's doable for me is getting back in shape.  Was almost there before christmas, but then the gym shut for a week or so (opens again tomorrow), and all this fooooood I had... Gonna be working my ass off for the next few weeks to undo that and then relax the working out a little.

Everything else is pretty much counting on me getting moved to a quiet home where I can finally get proper sleep and work on pixel stuff and recover fully from various health problems and maybe get a part time job in addition to pixel freelancing.  Want to make enough to get membership in the local archery group as I miss doing that stuff.  Also wanna take part in more acting whether its plays or just workshops, to help me get used to being around people again although I'd also like to do some more voice acting on radio and internet productions if possible.  And maybe finally get driving lessons.  Also I wanna actually be able to play this darn Fender electric guitar I've had for about 7 or 8 years now... Only thing I could ever play on it was the riff from Smoke on the Water but even that's gone now.  Also ideally I'd like to finally leave this country and head back to Canada where I used to spend good fun summers in when I was a kid but I still just don't see that happening even in the next few years.

I'm counting on 2007 being the year where things actually start going right... all I need is for the council to move me to a quiet place.  Then everything else will be possible from then on...

I like the first one much better.  Colors look a bit richer, and the hues are more varied.   I find it's hands hard to figure out though.  Overall though I really like this piece.

General Discussion / Re: The right time to make a game?

im also wondering what you guys think about Game makers, rpg makers or wtever ya call em.. programs that basically do the work for ya and all you have to do is make graphics and tell em what you want to happen. I personally think you should do the programing yourself, or at least have your programming written by someone..

If Game Maker did everything for me, I'd have a hundred games out by now...  As it is I'm doing mostly the GML scripting stuff which is very much like programming and it's quite tricky for my tiny lil mind.
