Title: Abstract pixelart
Post by: Bork on February 15, 2010, 03:10:05 am
Hello. I was a member here long ago but left after having some fights with people over stupid stuff. But since thats long behind me(years even) Im gonna make a new start. My old name was Bo_the_sucker(it was a joke name, but I stuck to it as my pixelartist username for 4-5 years :P )

Anyways here is some abstract pixelart I made yesterday.

I was originaly planning to AA them, but making pixelart in photoshop (something I had never done before) drove me insane, so no AA on these for now atleast.

Are these even abstract?

You can use filters and such now (to avoid hand AA) as long as the pixelclusters are above the median pixelclusters and you feel okay with that.

Also welcome back, I remember you. Have a nice stay :y:

TheOne: The problem with that filter you used is that the result is bad.

I dont know if it looks bad since I have never used that, but it isn't pixelart.

TheOne: How are these not abstract? What is abstract art to you?

I'd say they're all abstract except the top right one, because the white and pink element is clrearly recognizable as something, namely dripping goo.
