Title: [WIP] Moustache Girl, if you can call it that

In a desperate attempt to refamiliarize myself with pixel art, I've decided to join Pixel Joint's latest weekly contest. My goal is/was an exaggerated girl (otherwise known as anime?) with a moustache and stubble. I've SORT OF got that down, but I'm stuck on the hair and body. Without further adeu, I present to you the sweet transvestite from Transexual, Transylvania.

Hate the hair, body is flat, still no ears, blah blah blah.

Still, it's improving.  :)

The eyes are huge...kind of like an alien...one of those grays.  Also with the hair pulled back like that, you would see more forehead.  How about some ears?  And maybe try to make it look like a girl first before putting the stache on...it might help.

Minor update. Dpixel, I took some of your advice into consideration. The ears are coming eventually, but I've decided rather to make this a male transvestite, as opposed to a girl.

Got some advice on the hair, added some ears, earings, more AAing, etc.

And why did you take away the mustache shading? Oh and they eyes arn't the same size, you should fix that. Also I think that when your hair is tied back it splits, so you should represent that in some way
the hair would look like its being pulled toward each tail.

PASSOUT, I thank you a muchly for your advice and edit. I really quite liked your body edits, and I used some parts as a loose reference. I erased the moustache shading because it didn't (in my opinion) fit the rest of the image, and I plan on redoing it.

I believe you can AA around the eyes more with using the color from the dress to make it look smoother of a transition.  :)
