Illuminate the ship as it fires the phaz0rs of death.
Nice detail, though the animation lacks something.... I can't put my finger on it though. =/

Make the guns recoil a bit. The blast should come faster than it goes, but right now it's the other way around.
The ship itself is cool, but you might wanna shorten the guns; they look like antannae. Unless you're going for that slow, powerful look, it could also be a bit longer/more areodynamic.

Changing the lighting of the ship as it fires would be a good idea, too.

What's illumination or how do you illuminate it?

Illuminate - light: make lighter or brighter

By which he means that the light from the lasers should reach the body of the ship and give it a flash of color.

Heh, that's what I should do.

Nice work on the ship, not sure about the animation though.
First of, the blast looks very odd. Flash lighting and recoiling
guns would indeed freshen it up.
Also, I would change the form of the blast.
Try to make it go forward. Make it look like it wants
to follow the bullet.

Good luck.

The ship is well done, but like others have mentioned, the firing needs work. Once you add an illumination and make the guns move while firing, the animation will look alot better. Also the blasts seem dimmer than the ship itself, it looks kinda weird hehe.

 W00t, new results.

Reversed the old animation without any flash on the ship when fired and no recoil

Reversed with flash or illumination when fired

Reversed with flash, illumination, and the guns recoiled.

It should illuminate more and stay lit even after because im assuming a laser comes out and that would give off light.

with all your animations, it would be a lot easier to see whats going on if you added a pause between shots or explosions etc

I'd start the animation with the largest "flare", dropping the inbetween smaller ones you have before that. Weapon muzzle flashes are quite brief, and having an animation with a smaller amount of frames would convey that impression. Other thing you could do is variate the animations, have one showing the largest flare, and another with just small flares (look at a machinegun firing in a movie in slow-motion to get the idea - i suggest Predator :)). The brain will fill the spaces between those frames.

I'd show you an edit, but my Ggale can't open your gifs (Color table missing - some watermarking?).

Oh, and the ship looks a bit too smooth, it's hard to tell the individual parts from the others (they all look too mixed into the others - looks a bit like a big triangle with a gradient inside). I'd use less inbetween shades to cut that smoother look.
