Title: Megaman type character; playing with a new style.

Ryoji was an old guy I made a long time ago who basically looked like this. I long since abandoned the character after I drifted from the Mega Man community but, going through old sprites today, I found some of this guy and figured it would be fun to play around with him again. So I did. This is the result.

I also played around with a kind of wonky shading and palette style. I think this bitch used around 25 colors or so, though I wasn't really trying to keep that down this time around so I'm not surprised.

C+C?

This is a really good piece--It reminds me more of Breath of Fire than Mega Man though--it's probably the proportions. Nice use of your palette, although I'm not sure about the splatters of purple work. I think the arms could care to be shortened a bit.

It really is reminiscent of BoF. It is still a great piece, though. :)

There's a lot of noise all around and the shapes are poorly defined. Those dark blue pixels aren't helping next to the outline. The outline itself is too heavy.
Tell us how you constructed this character. Maybe there's some helpful new methods you could introduce to your workflow.
