Hey, so I've been nastalgic for my old NES games recently, playing them on ROM and all that. About two weeks ago I got the idea to create a new game using NES technology, the 8-bit limitations and using the limitations on music and sound. I was wanting to create a tactical rpg, with actual immersive dialogue (unlike all my old nes games) harking back to the old days. I dunno, am I alone in this? I don't seem to be getting good responce on other forums, and certainly wouldn't want to spend the man-hours to make a game no one will play. So meh, whatcha guys think?

I'd give it a shot, the main thing turning me off is the tactical rpg genre itself though :p

ha fair enough, as long as it isn't the 8-bit :)

I love Tactical RPG's and I love the NES, so yeah... I'd play it.

I assume Pixel Joint's and Pixelation's entire userbase would like to play it. Who among us doesn't have roots in the 8-bit, or at least 16-bit era?
