After seeing this (http://gfxzone.org/personal/angeldawn/01/angeldawn-hoodlum_1.html") I was inspired to make my own in a similar fashion.
Pallete stolen from that but I ended up using a lot more colours then just 32, i think it was more around the 72 mark, I couldn't be bothered with keeping to a specific colour count for this piece.
I could anti-alias the black bubble background, but I don't wan't too.
This is for a dev forum for Fusion City as i'm in the graphics team, I made a sig for the graphics team..anyways
check it out, give some comments yadda yadda
For those who do remember me, aight, nice that you remember me:p, for those who don't or are new, Hi :)

it's a cool demoscene logo. I don't really have no crits besides the fact that this doesn't need more than 32 colours. I can take it down to 23ish without detail loss, if you're interested in that.
-
i could take it down myself, just i'm too lazy at the moment, and it does it's job as a signiture for the unaware public of a forum :p
thanks for the offer though helm :)

very nice, could be spiffed up a bit. i will make an edit after work (in about 3 hours)

Ah, I remember that classic Hoodlum logo. You're version is really nice too, you've done a great job!
-
As you don't know i love demoscene not that i can do it myself, mind but i do love it. I like this alot but some of the shading in the inside of the G doesn't look to right o me but if your happy with it and are not going to improve not much point in me saying this. Nice work!
Thanks,
Dan

or not. had other things to do. anyway, i would say go over the aa, some parts are not properly or not aa'ed which lessens the whole thing as it looks lazy and bring the colours down to 32 (which is plentyful in this case) perhaps add some little scratches here and there with neat highlights and make the dither a bit more random/stylised.
I think that would help it quite a bit

Dang, that's sweet. I really love the lighting. Unfortunately some of the letter's edges are quite jagged, even with the AA you put (top right of the 'R' and bottom right of the 'C' for example) I think I really wanna try one of these soon... so pretty...

http://gfxzone.org/personal/angeldawn/01/angeldawn-hoodlum_1.html
I havn't come across any tutorials, best thing to do is to study different demoscene logos, take a look around the gfxzone galleries.
-
I view the demoscene logos, and is incredible :o . I not understand how is posible make all this pixel-by-pixel.
I view very much the word "SCOOPEX" what is "Scoopex"?
And any know the steeps for make a logo similar? After view the logos of the link and the other artists, seems easy make a logo jeje :D
I go to study all the logos, forms, colors etc... and try to find the steeps, programs, or methods for make a logo :) . I think when i know the steeps make logos will be more """easy""" :P

I believe scoopex is the name of a game.
Anyways, here is the full list of demo artist who have a gallery at gfxzone.

holy shit that link comes up with some ancient Amiga art! Awsome!
my first play on colanto paint was with some art from "rank"

Scoopex was the name of a demo group. The graphics you saw was the groups logos wich were used in demo scene productions like demos, intros and other stuff. The best way to learn how to do demoscene pixel art is to study the work of the old masters. Cougar, X-Man, Angeldawn and Cyclone are my pesonal favourites. GFXZone is a good place to start. If you don't know anything about the demoscene, check out wikipedia. A good place to find demo scene logos is www.flashtro.com (http://www.flashtro.com). It's a site with a collection of Amiga cracktros (small intro used in a cracked software) remade in flash. Some of the best demoscene logos can be viewed there.

does anyone remeber a demo with a devil made from bouncing balls? I first saw that on an amiga 2000. awesome stuff.
