Title: Frank Portrait - Lineart by wolverine
Post by: Turbo on March 21, 2009, 03:34:30 pm
Been working on and off on a take on Wolverine's lineart for this character's portrait (which he did here: http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/13299.htm (http://pixeljoint.com/pixelart/13299.htm)), and would like to hear your thoughts.

I would say that while the colors are very pleasant, the dithering is done is a way which does not smooth the transition from color to color, rather it makes the entire piece noisy. I am not sure if this is due to simply over using dithering, or the combination of dithering you're using.

Thanks for pointing out the "dither becomes noise", it's something i'm called on frequently but have a hard time noticing on my own work. I'll add more colors to smoothen the transitions, another 1-2 skin tones and 1-2 greens should do it, replacing the most glaring dithering. Thanks for the complement as well.
