Title: Portfolio
Post by: ZeroByte on February 02, 2009, 06:30:48 pm
Hi. I'm in my final trimester in college doing multimedia arts and I have to make an interactive portfolio of my work. I've decided on a combination of pixel art and low poly art to present my works in a game-like environment. I'm posting some WIPs here to hopefully get some critiques to improve my work.

This is the mockup for what I'm trying to do:

What I have in code for my 2d gallery. Clicking on the boxes will show an image in the gallery:

Run cycle:

My logo/business card:

the 3d gallery in my portfolio. Still unfinished:

The 3d works will appear in platforms and like the 2d gallery there will be a lowpoly 3d me.

I think they look very nice personally, although the business card logo is too hard to read given the colors. A bit too many bright colors all at once and not enough contrast. Otherwise, I like the style ^_^

This ought to be in the portfolios forum, bottom of the front page.

Not necessarily.
He is making an interactive portfolio using these graphics and looking for criticism here, not showing one.
Please read before posting.

Apologized,
that was ignorant of me.  I thought I was helping, I'll try and avoid in the future.
Thanks!

And I like your work, ZeroByte.  Nicely stylized, the 3D is especially good.  No critiques right now.

Toodles!

Yup this is very much a work in progress. I haven't had much chance to work on it so far cause I'm deep in code for another project for my finals too. Sigh, this trimester is intense in terms of workload.

I really like your 2D art! It is very strong. The 3D model looks okay but I think the face needs a little work. The nose is a little weird and looking at the 2D work he should have a taller face than he does... less width. Also his legs and arms should get skinner towards the ends.  :y:
