Title: Newb Here
Post by: Ayoma on December 01, 2008, 11:58:34 am
Hey, i cant really say im going to be whipping up anything interesting any time soon as im just starting off, as i stated in my greeting im fairly fond of isometric pixel art so i really want to focus on getting good at it. First off ive just been making cubed boxes and focusing on how to light them correctly then i combined a few together to make some shapes as you can see below.

If any one could point out anything that looks wrong, Doesnt work with the designs or the way ive presented them that would be appreciated :)

They're palettized gif's, making these weird dithering patterns going on at the sides. Save as .png.

I think that pattern is intentional.

Ayoma, try to just use flat colors. When you've got that down you can play with texture. We'll continue to help if  you keep posting with progress.

I like these shapes, they remind me of some weird foam 3D puzzles I had as a kid... A younger kid.
