Hi, I'm new to Pixelation.  But I lurk a lot.  ;D

I'm at the end of my rope trying to find a program less annoying than photoshop for exporting tile animation sheets on a game I'm working on.  I've been using GraphicsGale which I like, but I can't figure out alpha channels for the life of me.
Can anyone that knows how to do Alpha give me step by step?  I'm trying to export a PNG with a completely transparent background, or a 32-bit TGA with an alpha channel.  Thanks!

If you just want one color to be transparent go to frame, frame properties, check transparent, and colorpick the background.

I haven't figured out the antialiased alpha masks though, because I've never had use for them. It's in the help file, though.

It was very easy, just go to "edit", then "copy display image". And open another gif files and just "paste layer". Makesure the color must be picked for transparent. ;D

By the way, I am not worries with Alpha Channels. Basic way is easy...

The easy way is to just make a layer with a transparent background by layer properties, much easier.

Erm, the guy is asking for alpha transparency, not 1 bit transparency Emtch and Ericard Production. There's a huge difference.

GraphicsGale supports alpha transparency masks, but is, as far as I know, not able to save alpha transparency to a file format. You'll have to use another program to do that.

the circled slider controls the transparency level of the drawn color in images with an alpha channel

dunno if you figured it out yet
its really annoying and I hope i have the right instructions xP

What i do is set the frame to transparency, and then for extra measure, make a new frame --> set to transparency
and then save as .png or .gif
usually it works.
if it doens't i cry >:
