I think there are too many similar colors. Like the reddish shadow color on the hands, which is barely visible without zoom.

You need more contrast at the skin pallete.
Itīs an elf?

I just increased the contrast by 40 points in the GIMP. Notice how it already looks more defined and now it's more easy to see the details. It's alos easier to see that there are indeed too many colors. But don't let that discourage you. :)

Yeah, It's a kind of an Elf.

Thanks guys, I think the palettes and colors are pretty good.

I'm having some problems with the anatomical aspect of it. Its suppose to be 45 degree top down, but doesn't look much it. :'(

did a sloppy edit, but hopefully it shows you what you can make of it, give him a bit of a pose, although my ended up as Mr.Muscle he tells something. I'we also played around with the palette andreduced the colors to half of what you had. Legs need to be abit longer also.

color aside, a true 45 degree view is much more squashed like this rough edit:

its not the most helpful view, but can be interesting.
many games imply a 45 degree view, but actually use true frontal view sprites over a top down map, as Helm points out in this thread:

Yeah, The examples in that thread are the exact perspective i want. But the problem is, the tiles which we made for this sprite are suited for a certain sprite size, the size in my first post.

Okay, I think i've improved it.

Here it is:
