Title: some ww2 sprites
Post by: DRfeng on December 17, 2005, 05:41:39 pm
my son is playing some miniaturebased ww2 game with his friends, and those minidudes (just 15mm tall) hooked me so much i
couldnt resist to start some pixelwork. - the hud and the bg  of the mobilescreens is far away from being rdy.

Wow,
you have a son?!
You must be one off the older ones on this forum then!

I like this, I must say.
You should make a game with this.
Playing Call of Duty 2 right now,
so I'm totaly into this,
great job! ;)

Dude, this is nice.
Just 2 things bother me:
1. The blankness of the roof of the semi-destroyed building draws my eye.
2. The road has no curb, sidewalk, or texture to help it blend with surrounding tiles.
Aside from that, the trees are a delight to my retinas...retinii...or whatever.
Now continue to delight me.
...
Now.

Bwahahaha, you should make it to where the tanks can run over other units, monster truck style.  Nice job on fitting all that info into such a small screen.

Awesome sprites, a lot better then anything I could ever do.

The only thing that looks a bit weird, in my opinion, is the darkest shade on first two tanks. It's purple while other shades aren't. I think you should work on a palette a bit more giving darker shades blue tones. Or lose the the blue shades completely. Here's a quick mspaint example:

Ofcourse, this is just a quick example and the palettes above shouldn't be taken too seriously.

I think, you must better draw the texture to armours of the tank.
Approximately as here.

as u may have recognized the tanks got no texture -> and the small 1ns that i decided to go with ,
dont need it in my opinion.
