Hi
im making a airship for a contest
its supposed to be a zeppelin with things from a battleship on it, except for the weapons which are more futuristic
right now my problem is shading... all the battleships i have looked at have a pretty flat color

In shading, it would make sense to shade the objects based on the shape and material they are if a directly applicable reference cannot be found :)
So figure out how metal is shaded, and how cylinders are shaded, work from that, I suppose

well i did look for the metal... and it really had no shading at all except for shadows(but that was because the top was bigger than the bottom)
ill try looking for some more stuff today
