^everything listed here is absolutely true, except i've trained myself to stay more focused, and despite what some sources might claim am extremely loyal in romantic relationships. (of course i seem to only date other NTs, so it's not hard to stay interested.)

I liked how thinking and feeling is 50/50....I really do value both a whole freaking lot. I also wish I was 100% intuitive and 100% percieving.

Yes this seems to be the case; there are quite a lot more perceivers than judges here as well.

I used to think I was an INFP until I read the description of the INFJ, and the likeness was that of me to my computer chair.
I think I thought that I was INFP because of my uncannaly complex infrastructure of orderly chaos (this will so be my sig).

There was a bit in one of the descriptions (ENFJ, I think?) about being a social chameleon, willing and able to adapt to almost any social circle. It struck me as very true to myself back in the day, but now I tend to lean more toward not being social at all. It's easy to find truths about yourself in most of the descriptions, but even so it's astounding that people can be categorised so well.

it's a nice tool to help you keep in mind that not everybody has the same goals in life and you're better off admitting it, but it can get annoying if you just see people as a bunch of letters. You know, like my ex was a ENFJ so I'm never talking to that 'ilk' again

I believe it was a comment on my comment of "It's astounding that people can be categorised that well" expressing the opinion that even though these do work to categorise people somewhat, by no means is it an absolute. The letters don't make the people, or something to that effect.

Blah this didn't work for me. I'm an INTJ, aka a Scientist. Which is completely off. It went on to suggest I should be an engineer or a progammer... while I suck at anything related to math and physics and so on. I plan to study Ancient History. Come on.
I think this was probably a little too much like fortune telling. You can list a whole load of traits, like with astrology in newspapers... so a couple of them are bound to apply to you.

hmmm... i disagree.
horoscopes are basically very very vague things based on when you were born. With this you actually have control over the data you input, not just which month you were born in.
Personally, i don't like to be grouped or categorized but my 4 letter code had my personality down to a tee.

I read the longer descriptions and it was spot-on for the most part.
What's interesting about these tests is that your type changes over time. I went from INTP to INTJ to the current ISTP over the course of a few years. I wouldn't look at these types as a set-in-stone sort of thing; more of a 'snapshot' of your character.
That's very true, as i used to be, what seems to be one of the many INTP types here, and before that i was more of an INTJ. In other words I want in the total opposite direction as you :)

I already made this test 3 times and the last two times gave me INTP (architect) and this one gave me INTJ (mastermind).

This was a terrible quiz. A multiple choice question that doesn't give one a valid option is poorly designed. For most of the questions I just went with "in between" as it was the least wrong answer.

I've actually taken this test quite a few times over the years. It's neat, because I used to be an INTP, but now I'm somewhere on the border between ENTP and ENFP. Pretty much, as I've gotten older, I've become more vocal about things, less detached and less of an intentional jerk to people. I've always been creative and fairly neutral in the thinking/feeling realm.
Anyway, silly quizzes like this are always fun, but ultimately letter code classifications of personality aren't something I let govern the way I act. Regardless of the category, I rock.
